New WhatsApp Payments feature for iOS and Android is coming out
WhatsApp Payments feature is already working for iOS and Android users in India
We all recognize that WhatsApp is a very popular Messaging App with million of users across the globe. It also has its pros and cons. Personally, I don’t like their Stories feature, it’s just unnecessary. But now, among this and its other features, the Mobile app is finally releasing an useful tool for their users: WhatsApp Payment feature. In fact, the app alerady enables users in India to send and receive money via the Indian government’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) standard.
Did WhatsApp already released its new mobile payment feature in my country too?
Well, in the Android beta of WhatsApp, you can see a new mobile payment feature. For now, this function will only be available in certain countries, Like India.

The main idea is that users can send money directly to their contacts through a QR code or a unique user identification code (UPI ID). This is for security purposes. To use the function, We just have to go to ‘Settings’, chose ‘Payments’ and select a transfer mode.
How can we use WhatsApp Payment?
To use the payment function, users will have to enable Whatsapp Payments and register their bank accounts in the application. WhatsApp has more than 280 million active users, I certainly think that this will be a very popular feature.
It is important to note that mobile payments through WhatsApp arrived in India last February exclusively, although it only allowed sending money through a unique user identification code. However, the novelty that came in beta 2.18.93 was the possibility of making payments using QR codes.
Hope this function reaches the rest of the world soon, and of course, with a strong policy of users data protection.
Moreover, a report adds the Facebook-owned messaging application is also working on other features, like a group video calling feature and sticker packs (like the ones existing in Facebook Messenger app).
Would you use these new WhatsApp features? share your opinion with us!
I wonder if this is another way WhatsApp is trying to take some market away from Facebook. I mean didn’t they just come out recently and say to delete your Facebook apps?
Given that FB owns Whatsapp, there would be little to gain by trying to ‘steal’ users.
Nice option…
Will this take off?
I dont like payment apps as a whole.
Love some new content…
Nice to have some new articles
With all these payment platforms, and data breaches, and companies offering to take your data from you to “protect” you from said data breaches— it’s only making the target larger for the criminals.
Actually, online payments are less secure than actual payments. I don’t really use online payments most of the time.
Hope its secure
Hi Mike! I think we are going to have the same conversation on multiple sites now. lol I agree with you that there needs to be a somewhat more regular schedule for delivering content. The sitres seem to go through ‘feast & famine’ periods for new articles.
This sounds interesting! Payments apps do scare me a little bit though, I have never used one and I am not sure how much I would trust them.

Sorry but I would have to wait to see how What’sApp Payment work before trying this program. It is not in Canada yet or maybe not in small towns yet ?
THATS COOL
App looks impressive and I will have to try it out.
I do not have internet capabilities with my cell phone, if I did not sure I would use it.
