Loved Monument Valley? Try this!

For anyone that has not heard of it, Monument Valley is a mind-bending, illusion-based mobile game that has won many awards all-round. Just one look at the screenshots will prove its worth. It is simply an amazing game. But, what if you have already finished the game and want more of the optical illusion and impossible geometry of the game? Or, what if you cannot afford it?

Fear not, there is hope, and it is called Hocus.

Hocus is great. It has more than 80 pre-made levels, along with countless community made levels. It is not a continuous adventure, like Monument Valley, but it consists of quantized levels, that are progressively harder. It is the best way to kill some time when waiting for the bus, or when the internet is down. It is amazing how it has managed to captivate me.

Now, at around level 55, I have almost formed a procedure of opening the app, passing a level, feeling very accomplished, getting stuck on the next, closing the app and trying again later. The feeling of passing a level a time, or even two, on those higher levels, is somehow mesmerizing. I have no idea how or why it happens, but a mind-bending game can bring such accomplishment to one’s life.

It is visually stunning. The levels might seem confusing and difficult in the beginning, but looking at the shape locally and making a strategy is the key to passing many levels (and looking cool to anyone that happens to look to your phone).

And I haven’t even touched upon the best part of this app; it is COMPLETELY FREE, and with NO ADS, NO BULLSHIT! Nearly Unlimited levels, tons of fun to have, mind bending visuals, and a never-before felt feeling of accomplishment, all from a simple app.

What are you waiting for? Go get it!
